Trek to the highest peak in the UK in Winter. This 4 day trip includes a training day for crampon and ice ace usage as well as transport, 3* hotel accommodation, food and fully qualified staff.
Ben Nevis is winter is a completely different prospect to that of the summer. You can expect to be walking on snow and ice, buffeted by high winds, blizzards - this is not a challenge for the fainthearted. However think of the elation of achieving this monumental challenge!
We base ourselves in Fort William a short drive away from the highest peak in the UK at 1344 metres. Our 3* accommodation provides our clients not only with good wholesome food but a swimming pool and spa to relx in the evenings.
There are obviously 2 days of travel required - Days 1 and 4 - all in coach or minbus and ferry.
Day 2 is a training day where we will look at walking with crampons and ice axe work. Although more relaxed there is a lot of learning that needs to take place before we head for The Ben the following morning.
Day 3 - up early and 8-10 hours of walking should get us to the summit followed by our celebratory meal in the evening and the feeling of an amazing achievement.
Option 1 - The next Open Challenge takes place in the WInter of 2017
Option 2 - If you are a Charity Rep or have a group of at least 10 participants we can arrange this challenge on dates that suit you - drop us an email or give us a ring.
